Seller Terms
Pre-launch version · 30 October 2026, updated the same day: payment fees are on us, and buyers pay a $0.50 service fee per order
Pre-launch version. Nothing is sold yet; we will update these terms, with 30 days’ notice, before the shop opens to buyers.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Market of Many Things (“the market”, “we”, “us”) is an online marketplace for tabletop RPG creators, run by Pietro Donelli (Italy). Full business details will be added before the shop opens to buyers. You can reach us at hello@marketofmanythings.com.
These terms apply when you open a seller account and list products. By creating an account you accept them. If you sell as a business, you accept them on behalf of that business.
Buyers have their own terms. Where these terms and the buyer terms meet (for example on refunds), both apply.
2. Your seller account
- Who can sell. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract where you live. One account per person or business.
- Signing in. You sign in with a link we email you. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can open your email can open your shop.
- Your details. Give a real email and a shop name that is yours to use. Your shop name is shown on your products (“by <shop name>”).
- Before the shop opens. For now only sellers can sign in. You can upload and prepare products, but nothing is visible to buyers or for sale until we open the shop. We will email you before that happens. Until then we may change features, and we may reset test data after telling you.
3. What you can sell
You can sell digital products for tabletop roleplaying games: adventures, maps, STL files for miniatures, art and tokens, music and similar files, plus commissioned work (section 5).
Your rights. You may only list work you made, or work you have the right to sell. If your product uses a game’s rules or names (for example under the D&D SRD, ORC or a creator licence), you must follow that licence and say so in the description.
Handmade first, and AI. We favour work made by people.
- Products made entirely with AI are not accepted.
- Products where AI was used in part are allowed, but you must say so. They carry a visible “AI-assisted” label.
- We check listings before they go live and may ask how a product was made.
Not allowed:
- Work that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Content that is illegal where you or we are based, including content that sexualises minors.
- Malware, or files that are not what the listing says.
- Products that are only someone else’s free content repackaged.
Your descriptions, prices and file details must be accurate.
4. Fees and payouts
You keep 90% of every sale. Our commission is a flat 10% of the price you set, on every product and commission, with no tiers and no exclusivity. Payment fees come out of our 10%, never out of your 90%.
| Item | Who pays | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | You | 10% of your price |
| Service fee | The buyer, at checkout | $0.50 per paid order, on top of your prices |
| Payment processing | Us, out of our 10% | Stripe’s or PayPal’s fee |
- Payouts. We pay you through Stripe. To get paid you connect a Stripe account and complete its checks. Payout timing follows Stripe’s schedule for your country, to be confirmed before the shop opens to buyers.
- Currency. Prices are in US dollars.
- Pay what you want. For these products the commission is 10% of what the buyer actually pays.
- Taxes. You are responsible for your own income taxes. Who charges and pays VAT or sales tax to buyers will be confirmed before the shop opens to buyers. In the EU the market may handle VAT for buyers itself.
- Changes to fees. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any fee goes up.
5. Commissions
Commissions are custom work a buyer asks you to make. The buyer pays up front and we hold the money until you deliver.
- You and the buyer agree the work, price and deadline in the market’s chat.
- The buyer pays the agreed price on the market. We hold the money.
- You deliver the files on the market, by the agreed deadline.
- We release your payout (the price minus our 10%).
- Not delivered. If you don’t deliver by the deadline and the buyer hasn’t agreed to extend it, the buyer gets a full refund.
- Disagreements. If the buyer says the work doesn’t match what you agreed in chat, we look at the chat and the files and decide (section 6). Keep agreements in the market’s chat: we can’t consider deals made elsewhere.
- Release without a reply. If the buyer doesn’t confirm or dispute within 7 days of delivery, we release your payout.
6. Refunds and disputes
Buyers get their files straight after paying, so a sale is normally final. A buyer gets a refund when:
- the files are missing, broken or can’t be opened, and you don’t fix them within 7 days of being told;
- the product is clearly not what the listing describes;
- a commission is not delivered as agreed (section 5).
When a buyer asks for a refund we tell you and give you the chance to fix it first. If we refund a buyer for one of these reasons, the refunded amount comes off your payout, and so does our commission on it (you don’t pay a fee on a refunded sale).
If a payment is reversed by the buyer’s bank (a chargeback), we may recover the amount from your payouts.
For disputes we decide fairly on what we can see: the listing, the files and the chat. You can ask us to look again once.
7. Your content and licences
You keep ownership of everything you upload. We never claim your work.
What you let us do. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence, free of charge, to store your files, deliver them to buyers, and show your covers, titles, descriptions and previews on the market and in our promotion of it (for example social posts and emails). This licence ends when you remove the product, except for buyers who already bought it and copies in backups we delete in the normal course.
What buyers get. Unless your listing says otherwise, a buyer gets a personal licence to use the product at their own table, including printing STL files and maps for personal use. They may not resell or share the files. You can offer a wider licence (for example commercial use of art or music) by saying so in the description.
Copyright complaints. If someone reports that your product infringes their rights, we may hide it while we look into it and will tell you. Reports go to hello@marketofmanythings.com.
8. Reviews, removals and closing your account
- Listing review. We check products before they go live. We may ask you to change a listing, or decline it, and we tell you why.
- Removing a product. We may remove a product that breaks these terms, and we tell you why. You can remove your own products at any time; buyers who already bought them keep access.
- Suspension. We may suspend an account for serious or repeated breaches, fraud, or to protect buyers. Where we can, we warn you first and give you the chance to fix it. You can ask us to review a suspension.
- Money owed. If we close your account, we pay what you earned from legitimate sales, minus refunds and chargebacks still open.
- Closing your account. You can close it any time by writing to hello@marketofmanythings.com. We delete your products and data as described in our privacy policy, except what we must keep by law (for example sales records).
9. Liability, changes and contact
- Responsibility for your products. You are responsible for your products and listings. If someone makes a claim against us because of your product (for example for infringement), you agree to cover our reasonable costs of it.
- Our liability. We work to keep the market running and your files safe, but we can’t promise it will never be down. Our total liability to you is limited to the commission we earned from your sales in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
- Changes to these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before it takes effect.
- Law. These terms are governed by Italian law (to be confirmed before the shop opens to buyers), without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you.
